HELLO!
My name is Kristine Renee but mostly everyone calls me Kris. At the time of this writing, I am 52 years old. I have unusually curly hair that takes entirely too much of my time and energy. I am a mother of two beautiful daughters who on most days I wish I could follow around and watch be amazing, and a son who often takes my breath away. I also have both a son and daughter-in law-who I personally think are rock stars.
I am a Canadian. In 1991 I married an American boy who I met on a California college campus. We have been together since and have lived in the U.S. for the length of our marriage. I grew up in Southwestern Ontario in an Amish-Mennonite community that I couldn’t wait to leave and now I wish I could move back to. I have a precious mom and dad who are just the sweetest thing, two older sisters who I will always try to be like, and a younger brother I want to protect even though he out-weighs me and towers above me.
I live life in the middle. Mid-west, middle-aged and middle child.
There you have it. All about me.
I’m fairly certain the interesting bits lurk in between all my details. The bits about grace and forgiveness, silliness and tears, loud laughter and dancing. I love dancing!
I hope this a place for my interesting bits and for the interesting bits of others. We are made up of all our bits and pieces and when we take time to sort through them all we come up with a story. A glorious story still in the making no matter how old we are. A story where grace somehow always shows up as the main character.
So welcome. Welcome to my story place. A place where all the bits and pieces will hopefully become more. More us? More human? More silly? More still? More engaged? More laughing? More confused? More in love? More grateful? More amazed? More reason to dance?
